As I have announced beforehand I am releasing three new books in 2019, tying together the Honey Moon Marmalade series that I had previously published online via Textnovel.
This marks not only the release of my first English trilogy, but also the end to a series that I have been working on since 2011. While Textnovel has shut down in May 2018, I have tried to find a way to finish the series and making it available for everyone, but settled on turning it into a full book in the end.
I was given the option to publish it either myself or with a publisher in Europe, however I thought it was a great idea to go this step via amazon and make it available worldwide as opposed to making it harder to obtain for readers in other countries.
An unusual red string connects the high school student Kotonoha to the schools cross-dressing delinquent Akira. Once he found out her secret – Kotonoha is the country’s most known online novelist – he blackmails her into a relationship with his friend Yukinari. But she soon notices there is more to this story than just a make-believe romance.
This novel is the first of a three-volume book series that started on textnovel.com in 2011 as “Honey Moon Marmalade”. Honey Moon Marmalade won the Editors’ Choice Award on Textnovel in 2012 for Best Cell Phone Novel and Original Style. It was ranked number six in the Top 10 Most Read novels, live and regularly updated until the site's closure in May 2018. The novel explores several views of other characters through flashbacks and a variety of different writing mediums within its world while tying back into the main story at the end of each arc. The minimalistic writing style is the result of blending poetry and prose, staying as close to the original style of Japanese cell phone novels as possible.
